In this guide, we are going to share the best tips for both F2P and P2W players on how to spend your gems and reap in these awesome rewards when the event comes to your kingdom server.
What is a More Than Gems Event?
Simply put, the More Than Gems is a Rise of Kingdoms event that comes with objectives where all governors must spend a certain amount of gems to get rewards. No matter how much you spend, any option is perfectly acceptable.
These rewards you get for spending your gems are very good. Therefore, you should at least keep some of the gems in your reserve for special events like More Than Gems.
Because this event only lasts two days, there’s only two unique chances to redeem these rewards. The minimum amount of gems that you need to spend in order to get rewards is 300 and the maximum amount of gems is 25,000 for all the rewards below:

How to Spend Gems Effectively During “More Than Gems”
In this part, we are going to teach you how to spend your gems effectively during the More Than Gems event. Whenever you are starting in a new kingdom or an existing kingdom server, it is important that you plan ahead to take advantage of the event.
We will cover in-depth for each player’s experience level and what you should be doing to maximize your rewards during the event:
- For Beginners (VIP 1 to 6)
- For Advanced Players (VIP 7 to 10)
- For Experienced Players (VIP 10 to 12)
- For Expert Players (VIP 12+)

MTG Guide for Beginners
When you start on a brand new Rise of Kingdoms server or creating an account in an advanced kingdom. Your first objective is to rush VIP 6 and obtain the 2 free builders. This will allow you to develop your city quickly.
Thus, it is important that you spend gems in upgrading your VIP level as much as you can. At the same time, you will collect rewards for completing the objectives.
MTG Guide for Advanced Players
For more advanced players who have slightly more experience in Rise of Kingdoms. You will realize that VIP 10 is just amazing. By reaching that level, you will get one Golden Key and one Golden Sculpture every day.
Which is ideal to increase your overall power and leveling up the commanders. Therefore, it is very important that you upgrade your VIP level to 10 as fast as you can because it will be your main focus for spending all of the gems on.
MTG Guide for Experienced Players
If you have VIP Level 10, you will be in a stage where rapid advancement is fundamental towards unlocking Tier 5 troops. By constructing and maxing out your Castle, you need to collect a certain amount of Book of Covenant to be able to level up.

But, if you are a F2P player then your second option is to keep spending your gems on upgrading your VIP level to 12. The VIP 12 is one of the most important key features because it grants you an additional Golden Sculpture along with several improvements for your city and armies.
When you reach your City Hall to Level 25, the rest of your buildings must be upgraded to Level 25 which will require a Master’s Blueprint. Each blueprint costs 2,000 gems and taking advantage of this event will allow you to acquire some of the rewards as a part of growth benefit to your city.

Upon reaching VIP 12, it is likely you are in the same situation where you do not have Tier 5 troops or City Hall Level 25 yet. Then your option is to continue increasing your VIP level to 14.
We recommend VIP 14 because this will further increase the amount of Golden Sculpture to 3, up from 2. In addition to that, your city will get tons of buffs and improvements. Not to forget to add, you will get some books that help you continue improving your Castle.
Obtaining Tier 5 troops is much closer than you think. Therefore, you must spend your gems into upgrading your VIP level and books for the Castle. Remember, when you reach VIP 13, your VIP shop will come with an offer to buy Golden Sculptures for gems, or 20 a week for 2,000 gems. Both are good options.
MTG for P2W Players
P2W players do not really care that much about their VIP level because they can make improvements through spending real money. These P2W players can have anything they want in the blink of an eye.
The main way to spend gems for P2W players is in the VIP Store where there are tons of offers. Among them, the most important item are the 20 Golden Sculptures which become available at VIP 13.
You also can get equipment chests, army reserves and resource pages. Another way that P2W players also can spend their gems on is to accelerate training of their troops or to heal injured troops.
Don’t Have That Much Gems?
Here’s what you should do if you don’t have that many gems. A less expensive method to spend your gems would be to only consume 7,000 gems a day. This will bring your total gems spent to 14,000 and you can get 10 Golden Sculptures along with other rewards.
This will allow you to spend less gems and maintain your gem reserves for future events and wars.
