Introduction
Welcome to our in-depth Rise of Kingdoms guide for Lancelot. This informative guide was created to help provide an overview of Lancelot skills, talent trees, gameplay, strategies, and guides in Rise of Kingdoms. The purpose of this overview guide is to help new and experienced players understand how to play Lancelot right and maximize strategic advantages.
Lancelot is an elite commander for Britain and is obtainable via silver chests / golden chests. He isn’t exactly that powerful compared to Boudica , Richard I and Edward Woodstock. Although, starting off early in the game, Lancelot plays a critical role in providing military support. He is one of the fewest elite commanders that boasts good march speed, damage reduction and offense capabilities.
To summon Lancelot, you will need to gather 10 Lancelot sculptures. Then go to the commander selection tab screen and click to summon him. Leveling him up is relatively easy to do so as there’s not much of an experience requirement. So, without further ado let’s dive into our best Lancelot commander guide for beginners.
Best Lancelot Skills
In the next part of our commander guide, we will talk about Lancelot skills. Keep it in your mind that Advanced and Elite commanders only have 4 skills. While Epic and Legendary commanders have 5 skills. So the power difference which Lancelot gains isn’t significant enough for late games. Likewise, Lancelot is good for gaining quick power early in the game.

Best Lancelot Talent Trees
Because Lancelot isn’t something that you will command in the late game. It makes sense to have a cookie cutter that works well with Lancelot for various purposes — especially in PvP battles and field battles. Below is our recommended talent build for Lancelot.

This is one of the best talent builds since it focuses on maximizing damage that the troops do under Lancelot’s leadership. Furthermore, it builds resistance against enemy movement effects as well as boosting the overall march speed. Which lets you get across the map quickly with Lancelot. A good early choice for preventing your enemies from growing in the beginning of the game.
Star Level & Talent Point Upgrade Priority
In the next part of our Best Lancelot commander guide, I am going to talk about star level & talent point upgrade priority to maximize your commander’s combat potential. Here’s how to prioritize your Lancelot effectively:
PvP Talent Build:
- Keep Lancelot at 1 ⭐ until you max out his first skill.
- Level Lancelot at 4 ⭐ until you max out her second skill.
Best Commander Pairs
Lancelot all by himself is weak. So, you will want to pair him with decent commanders to take advantage of bonuses like improved attack, defense and march speed. In addition to active damage skills that Epic commanders come with. In this section, we share the best primary commanders to pair with Lancelot.
Belisarius

One of the best primary commanders to pair with is Belisarius. He has the same skill set as Lancelot does, but a lot better. With core focus on mobility and damage, he brings cavalry bonuses that boosts defense and march speed.
When he uses his active skill, enemy troops attack and defense is reduced by 30%. Which allows this combo to swoop in for quick kills. Lancelot’s skills prove to be invaluable to early rushes when in conjunction with Belisarius’ skills.
Pelagius

If you are looking for a commander that will transform your forces into a tank combo. Pelagius is a solid pick because he brings a 10% bonus to cavalry defense and attack. Plus he builds rage at an accelerated pace which definitely helps Lancelot dish out more damage.
Pelagius is equipped with a self-healing ability which recovers some of the injured units. It is one of the main reasons why he is widely preferred commander early in the game.
Baibars

Another good cavalry commander to pair with is Baibars. Unlike the first two recommended primary commanders, Baibars comes with an active skill which slows down enemy targets’ movement. And he can hit up to 5 targets at the same time.
When paired with him, cavalry gain a 20% attack bonus. Whenever you leave the battle, troops are healed for a small portion and march speed is increased by 40%. A stellar combo if you want to take advantage of lighting fast movement while hindering enemy movements.
Minamoto

A good legendary commander to also pair is Minamoto. He is one of the easiest legendary commanders to get via purchasing the VIP pack or in the Gems Store. He is also obtainable via chest and events. So, if you are looking for a solid legendary cavalry commander to pair with, Minamoto will make a great pairing due to his already powerful direct damage factor.
His troops also will be able to benefit from the damage bonus when the total army strength falls below 50%. Which means Minamoto will be able to kill neutral units and enemy armies with ease while mitigating incoming attacks.
Cao Cao

Lastly, pairing with Cao Cao is a force to be reckoned with. Cao Cao comes with a passive skill that has a chance to restore rage by 100 whenever the troops perform a normal attack. This helps Lancelot a lot by being able to dish out more damaging active skill.
In addition to that, Cao Cao heals troops which improves total army’s survivability and defenses throughout the battle. The 40% attack reduction and 10% march speed reduction is also helpful that makes it possible and easy to do this combo.
