Best Cheok Jun-Gyeong Commander Pairs
One of the main advantage that Cheok Jun-Gyeong has is versatility and flexibility. Which makes him an incredible commander to pair with most of the infantry commanders in Rise of Kingdoms. If you are looking to maximize his combat strength, below is our recommended commander pairings for Cheok Jun-Gyeong:
Pakal II

One of the best attackers in the game, Pakal II comes with an incredible skill set that increases infantry troops both offensively and defensively. Which means he can pretty much take significant hits and shrug it off like it is nothing. Although, Pakal II is vulnerable to skill damage.
This is where Cheok Jun-Gyeong comes into the play with his superior skill damage reduction buff. If you are in need of additional defense to counter garrison commanders and their active skills, Cheok Jun-Gyeong can minimize damage taken. Plus he gives 5% skill damage bonus for infantry troops only every 4 seconds and it stacks up to 8 times. Which gives 40% additional skill damage when fighting.
But Cheok Jun-Gyeong takes this to a whole new level with his active skill. If the enemy commanders’ health is less than 30%, then he deals even more damage with his active skill to finish them off. Overall, a stellar commander pairing that excels both in attack and defense.
Harald Sigurdsson

If you want to take advantage of creating the most powerful army that can dish out major damage within matter of seconds. You may want to pair Cheok Jun-Gyeong with Harald Sigurdsson. Through stacking buff that increases skill damage by 40%, Harald Sigurdsson will be able to lash out an incredible amount of damage with his active skill when surrounded.
Furthermore, all infantry troops will get major attack boost that increases their ability to deal more damage on the battlefield. Plus Harald Sigurdsson brings excellent counterattack damage which is must in PvP battles. Although that comes at a small cost of reduced defense. Governors who prefers to play offensively will like this commander pairing but it is not good for defending.
Charles Martel

Another stellar legendary commander to pair with is Charles Martel. This commander can drastically enhance your troops’ defense by creating a powerful absorption shield. One of the main advantage that Cheok Jun-Gyeong has to offer is increasing the amount of shield absorption value through boosting skill damage factor.
40% skill damage bonus means Charles Martel can generate a powerful shield to absorb incoming attacks for much longer. That also translates into longer +30% damage bonus that will allow your troops to do even more while taking less fire. Charles Martel also grants health, defense and march speed that will definitely help Cheok Jun-Gyeong in the long run.
Alexander the Great

Easily one of the best legendary commanders to pair with is Alexander the Great. He offers amazingly high damage output as well as increased infantry attack and defense. Though most of the dynamic gameplay revolves his powerful raid-wide absorption shield. When the shield is up, increase defense.
When the shield is down, increase attack. Through Cheok Jun-Gyeong’s skill damage bonus, he can increase the amount of absorption shield value to allow the troops to withstand attacks for much longer. In addition to longer duration, the defense bonuses will extend for much of period that enhances troops survivability on the battlefield.
Furthermore, up to three enemy targets will take increased damage for 4 seconds. Overall a nice combination of balanced attack and defense for anyone who wants to take advantage of this commander pairing.
Bjorn Ironside

Alternatively, you can pair Cheok Jun-Gyeong with Bjorn Ironside if you do not have any of these legendary commanders, yet. Bjorn Ironside is a strong attacker in Rise of Kingdoms and will benefit a lot by partnering with this infantry commander. Since Cheok Jun-Gyeong grants skill damage bonus by buffing and Bjorn Ironside increases the enemy skill damage taken through debuff.
The overall skill damage actually stacks as they are separated from each other (buff and debuff). This means Bjorn Ironside can deal even more damage with his active skill and through Ambush passive skill. Cheok Jun-Gyeong also will be able to take advantage of additional skill damage bonus to perform his powerful finishing move on weakened targets. Both commanders are good for killing off enemy targets quickly.
