You will find out that it is pretty easy to pair Chandragupta Maurya with any commanders thanks to his powerful offensive skills. Let’s find out who the best commander pairs you should go for with Chandragupta Maurya.
One of the best legendary cavalry commanders introduced to Rise of Kingdoms is Alexander Nevsky. If you are looking for a strong commander that is packed with incredible high damage output and is excellent on the offensive, pair Nevsky with Chandragupta. Thanks to his Swarm ability, Nevsky reduces troops defense to make it easier for his skill damage to inflict heavy blows while the troops does all of the heavy lift.
Bonus point, Chandragupta as the primary commander and Nevsky as the secondary commander sets up for the perfect storm due to skill synergy. With buffs such as increased damage, cavalry attack, cavalry defense, cavalry health, and march speed makes this duo the most frightening on the battlefield in Rise of Kingdoms.
Bertrand du Guesclin
If you are looking for another legendary commander that will provide a moderate flat damage bonus based on duration of combat. Then look no further, because Bertrand du Guesclin is equally good in city attacking as it is to PvP battles like Ark of Osiris. With a moderate skill damage and flat 15% damage bonus overall, Bertrand will make Chandragupta hit harder.
With self-healing, defense, and offense capabilities bolstered, this commander pairing is set for success when it comes to city attacking. Best when Chandragupta is leading the army as the primary commander due to his talent tree builds.
First of all, Genghis Khan is the best combination to pair with this legendary commander. With incredible powerful offensive skill and an active skill which does a lot damage, plus a chance to reset at no additional rage cost.
Both Genghis Khan and Chandragupta Maurya will ravage the battlefields with their superior offensive capabilities. The damage bonus that Chandragupta gives will greatly benefit Genghis Khan’s ability to dish out exorbitant high damage. A deadly pair.
If you are looking for a legendary commander to further extend your cavalry troops’ overall damage. Attila is a must-have commander to pair with because his debuff abilities will allow your troops to do even more damage towards targets.
Not to forget to mention that under his leadership, there’s a chance to increase all damage done by an additional 100%. When combining in with his active skill, your cavalry troops have the potential to deal 300% increased damage for a few turns.
For those free-to-play players who do not have any of these legendary commanders in their sleeves yet. I recommend Baibars for a number of reasons. First of all, he is one of the best entry-level commander that does splash damage and slows down targets.
When pairing with Chandragupta Maurya, Baibars will be able to do even more damage to multiple targets which he will able to benefit from this combination directly. A great pair to roll with if you are looking for an option to do damage to multiple targets and slow them down at the same time.
Finally, if you want to build a powerful city-nuking force. All you have to do is pair Saladin with Chandragupta Maurya and you will be able to demolish virtually any cities all you want at mercy of your enemies. Saladin, one of the most powerful nuker in the game deals massive amount of direct damage.
And when you attack enemy’s cities, then both commanders get 15% increased damage. This is a big deal if you want to be able to maintain high and sustained damage toward enemy cities so that they can burn fast. Plus, both get 30% skill damage taken reduction from the enemies. A perfect counter to enemy attackers.
