Best Immortal Pairing for William I
Thanks to William I’s active skill, he is in an unique position that makes him a popular choice with these immortals. As always, we recommend pairing William I with fire immortals to gain element affinity stat bonuses. Below is our recommended fire immortals for best damage output and improved combat strength on the battlefield:
One of the best fire immortals to pair with is Edward. He comes with an active skill that increases his troops’ physical damage and attack speed by 40% for a few seconds. Through combination of William I and Edward, the improved critical rate chance means Edward will be able to deliver even more damage.
If Edward have passive skills that causes additional damage through normal attacks, he will be able to benefit from it thanks to increased critical rate chance and attack speed. The William I and Edward is a very good immortal pairing to have on the same team. Be sure to have both in your team.
Alternatively, you can switch Edward for Ashoka if you want to further increase your immortal team’s overall damage output. He can fire a powerful arrow that does a lot of damage. Plus there is a chance for his active skill to deal double damage. However, Ashoka’s active skill is very capable of dealing even more damage through improved critical rate chance thanks to William I.
This means Ashoka have the potential to deal 1,680% physical damage per target with his active skill. Against all the enemy targets that would bring his overall damage output to roughly 6,720% each time he activates his active skill — only if he is lucky enough to deal double damage and that it critically hits the targets.
Cyrus the Great
Any skilled Lords know how important it is to have a support immortal on the team. If you are looking for an immortal that can provide much needed support to your team at the same time taking advantage of William I’s improved critical rate chance buff. Then you will want to have Cyrus the Great on the team.
He comes with an active skill that reduces enemy targets’ resilience rate. Furthermore, he makes the enemy targets prone to getting stun from being critically hit. Which means your immortals will have good chance to stun the enemy targets whenever they deal critical hit. Overall, a nice support immortal to have on the team.
While William I is a good physical attacker to have on the team, he will definitely need another physical attacker that can absorb incoming damage. This is where Frederick I comes into the play. He boasts a solid active skill that does immense damage towards multiple targets. Then 30% of that damage is converted into health, restoring Frederick I.
The damage-health conversion gives this epic immortal a combat advantage of dealing damage and replenishing what is lost. However, he stands to benefit from improved critical hit chance that William I has to offer. By dealing even higher damage, Frederick I will be able to restore even more of his lost health. It’s the perfect paragon here.
If you want to spice up your immortal team a bit with some magical damage. Empress Wu is a powerful fire immortal that will make a good addition thanks to close synergy with William I’s critical rate chance buff. This fire immortal deals magical damage with her active skill, which has a chance to inflict additional magical damage to a random target three times for 600% damage each time.
With the 20% increased critical rate chance, Empress Wu have chance to inflict even more lethal magical damage against enemy targets that are not well equipped to protect against magical spells. Overall, Empress Wu is a good fire immortal that can make a quick work out of enemy immortal teams that are heavy on physical stats.
Another solid physical attacker that is worth pairing with, Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazon. Her active skill allows this fire immortal to hit a random target multiple times. With William I’s critical rate bonus, Hippolyta will be able to deal even more damage as her hit will have higher chance to land a critical hit.
In addition to that, this fire immortal will lower enemy target’s attack speed by 10% and that stacks up to 6 times. The attack speed reduction helps a lot for William who will need to be able to provide consistent amount of damage. Slow-hitting enemy targets means less incoming damage for your team and that’s where Hippolyta excels in this role.
