Warrior is the first tier available to be trained via Barracks building in Rise of Kingdoms. They are cheap, weak and easy to replace.
Swordsman are the wielder of heavy swords. They have increased attack and defense over Warrior and becomes available for training at Tier 2.
Spearman are equipped with buckler shield and a pike, which provides improved attack and defense. Spearman can be trained via Barracks building once you research Tier 3 infantry technology.
Long Swordsman are equipped with powerful shield and heavy sword, making them one of the strongest Tier 4 unit for civilizations who do not have unique unit.
Legionary is exclusive to Rome only. They have increased defense over its counterpart.
Throwing Axeman is exclusive to France only. They have increased health over its counterpart.
Samurai is exclusive to Japan only. They have increased attack over its counterpart.
